Executive Director and co-founder of Bringing Hope.
I work directly with clients and their families helping them to transform their lives through showing them hope and change are possible. I also provide inspirational leadership to the organisation ensuring it achieves its mission and strategy.
Bringing Hope is rooted in a vision I had more than two decades ago following the loss of a very close friend. Born and raised in the inner city area of Birmingham, I have first hand experience of the problems faced by those of the ‘forgotten generation’.
For more than 20 years, I have worked with socially excluded young people and families from different ethno-cultural backgrounds. I was the first black African-Caribbean lead commissioner for children, young people and families for Birmingham Drug Action Team.
It’s my personal experience that, through robust and innovative approaches, change can happen. I believe in a second chance for all.
